CEO of DB Records, D’banj took to his Instagram page over the weekend to announce that Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has blessed his business, Koko garri.

He posted the photo of himself and Aliko Dangote holding his koko garri with the caption: “From the Godfather of Agriculture, It’s an honor to have u as a mentor! Thanks for blessing my koko Garri”.

Recalling that D’banj who was appointed ONE Ambassadors, to champion the movement in Africa in March 2014, ventured into Agriculture earlier this year, he made the introduction of his own product ‘Koko garri’ at the One Do Agric Campaign launch which held at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, joining other Nigerian celebs venturing into business, the likes of Eedris Abdulkareem who is now into farming, Terry g ‘Akpakor master’ who has gone into pure water business.

Rapper and star of “Ice Loves Coco” reality TV show Ice-T‘s grandson has been arrested for accidentally shooting and killing his roommate.

According to TMZ, 19-year-old Elyjah Marrow was fiddling with a gun in his apartment on Tuesday when it accidentally went off, fatally wounding 19-year-old roommate Daryus Johnson. He has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct, possession of firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of a stolen firearm.

Elyjah who is the son of Ice-’s daughter, is currently in custody.

Photo: 13 Year Old Boy Discovers Bomb Near Kano Mosque

A 13-year-old boy discovered a massive bomb placed in a car near a Jumuat Mosque in Kano and promptly alerted the police. The police spokesperson in Kano, Magaji Majiya said after the boy discovered the bomb he alerted the police nearby and the anti-bomb squad was invited.

“They successfully defused the bomb and site and the car has been taken to Police Headquarters for further investigations and analysis,” he said.

The police spokesperson said no one has been arrested in connection with the incident. A bomb explosion, which claimed eight lives, took place on Monday at the School of Hygiene in Kano. The Police said they have arrested a suspect in connection with the school bombing. No group has claimed responsibility for any of the incidents although the insurgent Boko Haram is considered the major suspect.

Betting website 888poker has dropped Luis Suarez as its ambassador following his shameful bite on Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.

The Uruguay and Liverpool striker was on Thursday banned for nine international games and from all football for four months after being found guilty of biting for the third time. A statement on 888poker.com on Friday morning read:

"888poker signed Luis Suarez following a fantastic season for which his achievements were widely recognised. Regrettably, following his actions during Uruguay's World Cup match against Italy on Tuesday, 888poker has decided to terminate its relationship with Luis Suarez with immediate effect."

Five-time U.S national champion, Alysia Montano left many stunned after running an 800m race while 34 weeks pregnant (8 1/2 months pregnant). Though she finished last in the race yesterday at the Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California, she said she enjoyed it and felt "really good".

The 28-year-old runner, who received a standing ovation after completing the race in 2 minutes, 32.13 seconds, said her doctor gave her the go-ahead and contrary to beliefs, it is not harmful to the baby.

"I've been running throughout my pregnancy and I felt really, really good during the whole process. That took away any fear of what the outside world might think about a woman running during her pregnancy.What I found out mostly was that exercising during pregnancy is actually much better for the mom and the baby. Chris Brown could be heading back to jail after he rejected a plea deal from the prosecution.

According to TMZ, Chris was close to copping a plea but the deal fell apart because the prosecutor and Chris’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, couldn’t agree on a statement of fact about the events leading to the alleged assault. Chris Brown maintained that he didn’t attack the alleged victim last year outside a hotel.

If Chris plead guilty to assault, he would not have to serve any additional time in jail. But since the court is going to trial now, he could be back in jail soon.

Mysterious Snakes, Bees Attack Boko Haram In Sambisa Forest 1

A handful of members of the Islamist sect, Boko Haram, arrested yesterday at Mairi ward behind University of Maiduguri by members of the Civilian JTF vigilante group, have confessed that most of them are fleeing the Sambisa Forest to areas across Borno State owing to what they believe is spiritual attacks from mysterious snakes and bees, which had killed many of their leaders.

According to Kolo Mustapha, one of the arrested insurgents, “most of us are fleeing because there are too many snakes and bees now in the forest. Once they bite, they disappear and the victims do not last for 24 hours. We were told that the aggrieved people who had suffered from our deadly mission, including the ghosts of some of those we killed, are the ones turning into the snake and bees.Our leaders fled, too”

Nigerian football team Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi, has confirmed in a post match interview that Michael Babatunde will likely not participate in the remaining matches at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.

Keshi said the midfielder will be undergoing surgery and may not be feature in the rest of Nigeria’s 2014 World Cup matches. Babatunde sustained an injury on his hand after blocking a shot by Ogenyi Onazi which was goal bound, and he twisted his arm.

“It is sad that we may not see him play again in the World Cup. He is going for surgery. It is bad.” said Keshi. Nigeria will meet France in the next match.

Luiz Suarez Facing 2-Year Ban As Pictures Emerge Of Him Trying To Bite Same Player A Year Ago

Pictures have emerged of Uruguayan and Liverpool striker Luis Suarez trying to bite Italian striker Giorgio Chiellini (left) 12 months before biting him again at their match last night in Brazil. The first incident happened during a Confederations Cup clash between Italy and Uruguay in 2013.

Meanwhile Suárez is reportedly now facing a two year ban. FIFA disciplinary committee said this morning that it had opened proceedings against him and has asked his team to present evidence later today. "Any type of proof may be produced, including reports from referees, declarations from the parties and witnesses, material evidence, audio or video recordings’. the committee said.

A decision on whether he is guilty of biting or not will be published before Saturday when Uruguay will play Colombia. See photos of the bite markson Chiellini below...
