NFF Sacks Keshi As Super Eagles Coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the termination of the appointment of Stephen Keshi as the Head Coach of the Senior National soccer team, the Super Eagles. Below is a statement by the NFF Executive Committee on Saturday on why the decision was made;

"Having thoroughly reviewed the reports/findings of the NFF Disciplinary Committee and NFF Technical and Development Committee. The committee reviewed the actions and inactions of Keshi, in the performance of his duties as the Eagles’ Head Coach in which, we found to lack the required commitment to achieve the federation’s objectives as set out in the coach’s employment contract’’.

Booth, 49, was arrested on Monday after being spotted driving a car that matched the description of one allegedly involved in a robbery and failing to stop after a police officer signaled him to. We May Negotiate With Boko Haram - President Buhari

The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on Friday, disclosed in an interview with the BBC, that the Federal Government has said that it is open to negotiations with the Boko Haram sect in order to find a lasting solution to the security crisis in the country, if the group is willing.

In the interview, Adesina said the Federal Government was not ruling out negotiations with the sect if it would put an end to the activities of the group, stating that the insurgents had attacked so many villages and killed scores of people. A South African woman, Mildred Mashego, and her daughter Patricia, has made it into the record books as the first mother and daughter to give birth to their babies in the same week for the same man.

According to Times Live reports, the 38-year-old Mashego of Casteel, South Africa, was pregnant when she learned that her 19-year-old daughter was also pregnant, and the two were due just days apart. Robot Kills Worker At Volkswagen Plant In Germany

According to reports, a robot has killed a contractor at one of Volkswagen’s production plants in Germany.

The man died on Monday at the plant in Baunatal, about 100km (62 miles) north of Frankfurt, VW spokesman Heiko Hillwig said. The 22-year-old was part of a team that was setting up the stationary robot when it grabbed and crushed him against a metal plate, Hillwig said.
