A video of a mother rabbit taking revenge on a snake that apparently injured or killed a couple of her baby bunnies has gone viral.

The video uploaded last week by YouTube user Ramakanth, already has over 4 million views, it shows a mother rabbit finding her bunnies in the company of a snake and seeking revenge after she's realized what has happened to them. A female student of Delta State University, Abraka, Evelyn Mogekwe, aged 26, allegedly jilted by her partner of seven years, committed suicide.

According to reports gathered said she was in a very good and cheerful mood in her hostel but her mood changed dramatically after her man called her over the phone to end their long term relationship. She was said to have bought some drugs, claiming she was having a headache and went into her room, leaving a message for her room mate that they might not see her again.

Ne-Yo Set To Perform At MTV Africa Music Awards

It has been announced that Grammy Award-winning R&B star Ne-Yo will perform at the upcoming MTV Africa Music Awards on July 18 in Durban, South Africa, to promote his sixth studio album, “Non-Fiction.”

The Mamas, as the awards are known, were revived last year after a three-year hiatus and aired live in 48 countries, including for the first time across sub-Saharan Africa on multiplatform network MTV Base. They also trended globally, including in the U.S., on Twitter.

Airplay plan is similar this year, with a special Mama-themed edition of MTV’s acclaimed World Stage franchise also set to air globally on MTV channels around the world on August 27.

Man Arrested For Taking Photos Of Policemen Collecting Bribe

A young man, Thompson Ntiedo has been arrested for taking pictures of a policeman collecting bribe from a commercial motorist.

According to the Nation, Thompson was arrested by personnel of the Okota Police Station on Tuesday evening, who claimed they were carrying out the directives of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), James Chu, a CSP. The victim was detained for three hours, released on bail at about 9pm with his two phones confiscated after he was forced to delete all the pictures he took. He was asked to return to the station on Wednesday morning which he did and was finally set free following the intervention of the police human rights officer.

According to reports, 37-year-old man, Sylvester Chukwunwendu who runs a notorious drug syndicate in Nigeria has been apprehended by the officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA.

Cavani was sent off after the incident because he already had one yellow card. The match officials didn't see what the defender had done to Cavani. But after the match, post match cameras showed what had happened and Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez is asking Jara to be sanctioned, saying Cavani had been the victim of provocation. It's A Shame Nigeria Still Imports, Eggs, Toothpick, Sugar, Wheat - CBN Gov

According to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, it is shameful for Nigeria to still be importing some basic items like wheat, eggs, toothpicks and others into the country when such items ought to be produced in Nigeria.

Speaking at a news conference yesterday June 24th, Mr Emefiiele said to discourage the importation of such items, the CBN, banks and bureaux de change offices will henceforth seize to offer foreign exchange to business men and women who import such goods. According to Mr Emefiele, the move by the CBN is to encourage the production of such items in Nigeria.

"Most of you are aware of the often-quoted number of N1.3 trillion, which is what we spend on average importing rice, fish, sugar, and wheat every year. I am saying it is shameful that we have to import toothpick. I am saying that it is shameful for us to import fish in sauce canned, fish in sauce and sardine. I am saying it is shameful. Before I was born palm kernel was taken out of Nigeria and taken to another country and today we go to that country and import palm oil. It is shameful. It is shameful that items that we used to produce in this country we now begin to import them.

Man Sentenced To Death By Hanging For Killing 6-Year Old After Failed Rape Attempt In Nigeria

Bauchi State High Court  yesterday sentenced Ibrahim Idris, 40 to death by hanging for killing a six-year-old girl after failing in his attempt to rape her.

Idris was dragged to the court in the case presided over by Justice Yelim Bogoro, the state Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Dawud Yakubu, who charged him with culpable homicide, an offence contrary to section 221 of the state law. Dawud told the court that on September 14, 2012, the accused called the deceased, Asiya Mohammed, into his room with the intention to rape her. He said when she refused, he used a knife to sever her head, put it in a polythene bag and threw it into a water channel.

A 24-year-old trader at the Alaba International Market, Lagos, identified as Bisola, is still to come out of the pains of being gang-raped by seven young men in the market because she refused to date one of them who had been asking her out.
