A video has emerged of Angelina Jolie looking strung-out and wild-eyed during the late 1990s, a ‘dark’ and ‘dangerous’ period of her life she has since said she was lucky to survive.
It has been released by a man named Franklin Meyer who has come forward claiming that he was the now 39-year-old actress’ drug dealer while she lived in New York at the time. Meyer released the video to The National Enquirer, which he alleges depicts the star right after a drug buy as she talks frantically on the phone. Convicted drug dealer Meyer claims he shot the 16-minute footage with Jolie’s consent in 1999 after she called him round to her Manhattan home to re-supply her with heroin and cocaine.
Her eyes are bloodshot and hollow, her arms emaciated and scratched. Pacing about her living room, Angelina Jolie picks at her skin with her fingernails as her self-proclaimed drug dealer films her in a rambling phone conversation with her father. Meyer claimed he would see Angelina Jolie, who at the time was dating actor Billy Bob Thornton, two or three times a week whenever she was New York and she would generally spend around $100 on heroin and cocaine, and would take the drugs in front of him.
