Africa's first and biggest reality TV show, Big Brother Africa (BBA), has been reportedly cancelled and may not hold this year as envisaged.
The BBA no-show has been attributed to lack of sponsorship as organizers - Africa Magic and Endemol - have been unable to get sponsors for the 2015 edition of the hugely controversial reality TV show.

According to Sun News reports, the pregnant woman who was allegedly attacked by three policemen in Lagos has lost her baby.
“Take me to my son, I want to see him”, Chika Elekawachi pleaded with family members who were still lost in thought on how to break the news of the death of her baby. Chika is the eight-month pregnant woman who was allegedly brutalized by three policemen attached to the Satellite Police Division in Lagos on Sunday, July 19. The policemen allegedly stripped the woman naked after accusing her of resisting arrest.
Nigerian-born reggae singer and guitarist, Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek, is currently on admission at a rehabilitation center in Abuja following suspected case of drug abuse.
Caregivers at the rehab centre, who preferred anonymity, said Majek was placed at the intensive care unit of the centre and is responding to treatment. Following the music legend’s sudden disappearance, a group of people had volunteered to form a search party to establish his whereabouts for proper medical attention. Majek, who was previously seen roaming the streets of Lagos aimlessly, lived in the United States some years ago before being deported to Nigeria.
National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is being accused by a senator of being behind Toyin Saraki's EFCC ordeal.
According to a report by Punch, Senator Joseph Waku, a former Vice-Chairman and member, Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum, says the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, allegedly masterminded the EFCC petition against the wife of the Senate President, who has since to be invited by the anti-graft commission for questioning.
Waku, a leader of the APC, in a statement sent to journalists in Abuja on Saturday, described a situation where Tinubu would be allegedly using his personal relationship with the EFCC Chairman “to embarrass and torment fellow party members” as unfortunate.

The Lagos State Government yesterday alerted residents of the state on new tactics armed robbers have devised to rob.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Habib Aruna, the state government said robbers now render their prospective victims unconscious through rubbing a perfumed handkerchief on their faces before robbing them. According to a breaking news report by Premium Times, wife of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Toyin Saraki and one of the daughters of former President Umaru YarÁdua, Zainab Dakingari have been invited by the EFFC over alleged fraud and money laundering.
Mrs Toyin Saraki is being invited by the antigraft agency to answer questions regarding some alleged questionable flow of income into some companies which she has interest in. PT reports that Mrs Saraki is due to appear at EFFC's headquarters on July 28.

According to Punch, EFCC has concluded plans to commence the probe of former ministers, special advisers, heads of parastatals and aides of former President Jonathan.
EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde has already directed that all petitions against them should be forwarded to him to be acted upon as the anti-graft agency is determined to expose any corrupt act during the last administration.
