Nigeria went out of the World Cup tournament in Brazil at the round of 16 stage after a 2-0 defeat to France, after which Keshi said: “It’s time for me to go back to my family and face fresh challenges.”
That was widely interpreted as a sign he had quit. However, when contacted by Goal on Tuesday, a NFF spokesman said: “Stephen Keshi has not submitted an official resignation letter. He was not employed in the mixed zone [after the France game] or on Facebook.”
Also note that Stephen Keshi is not on Twitter, so the tweet from his alleged account isn’t from him.
