Nigeria Drop 15 Places In July FIFA World Ranking


In the table released by FIFA on Thursday, July 9, the Nigeria is in 57th place, 15 places below 42 where they were ranked in the last ranking in June

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have suffered a massive drop in the monthly FIFA World Ranking.

In the table released by FIFA on Thursday, July 9, the Nigeria is in 57th place, 15 places below 42 where they were ranked in the last ranking in June.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria only played and won one game in the month of June which was against Chad in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers. On the African ranking, Nigeria also fell from seventh to tenth place below the likes of Algeria (19), Cote d’Ivoire (21), Ghana (25) Tunisia (32) Senegal (39) Cameroon (42), Congo (47) Cape Verde (52) and Egypt (55).

On the World Ranking, Argentina has knocked current World Champions out of the top place. Despite lost losing the Copa America final to Chile, Argentina is currently the best football country in the world ahead of Germany who is second, and Belgium on third. Colombia and Netherlands make up the top five. Brazil, Portugal, Romania, England and Wales round up the top 10.
