"Desperate Housewives Africa" To Kick Off In Nigeria

Newly launched TV station "EbonyLife TV" and "Disney Media Distribution EMEA" have set the ball rolling for the shoot of the new TV series of Desperate Housewives Africa which will be based on the hit American TV series, Desperate Housewives. EbonyLife TV’s CEO Mo Abudu has come out to say that the show will have “an African soul” and will feature a cast of new and established pan-African talent that will showcase fashion by Nigerian dress designers.

The TV series that  is set to get on air in the summer of 2014 will be filmed on locations in Lekki, Lagos and as Disney EMEA general manager "Giovanni Mastrangelo" puts it, "it will have the opportunity to engage African audiences through locally relevant and entertaining storytelling.”

Desperate Housewives have been produced in Turkey, Argentina, Brazil and the United States in Spanish.
