Nigerian rap act Naeto C and his South African counterpart, AKA have been given the nod as hosts for this year’s Channel O Africa Music Video Awards. This year’s edition will be the 10th, and it is set to take place on November 30th, 2013 at the Walter Sisulu Square, Soweto, South Africa.
Naeto C in a statement to the press said “I’m really excited to host this year’s Channel O Africa Music Video Awards, especially on its 10th anniversary. To be a part of this experience is totally awesome and I look forward to sharing this magical moment with the rest of Africa on November 30th.”
Both Naeto C and AKA have won their share of Channel O music video awards with Naeto C winning in 2009 for his hit Kini Big Deal; Most Gifted Hip Hop Video award for Ako Mi Ti Poju in 2010; and Most Gifted African West Video for 10 Over 10 in 2011.
Ice Prince and South African top model Bonang Matheba hosted last year’s event.
