Nollywood actors and actresses, mostly from the Yoruba-speaking section of the Nigerian movie industry yesterday, thursday 23rd january marched against domestic violence and jungle justice in Nigeria. The home moviemakers took school children along with them, demonstrating that children have prominence for future and deserve to be properly treated. Some of the stars present include Fathia Balogun, Ronke Oshodi, Foluke Daramola, Yomi Fashlanso, Moji Olaiya, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe and Ayo Adesanya.
They admonished parents/guardians to desist from abusing their children/wards. While calling on government to be more pro-active on policy initiation and implementation to protect women an children. The protesters condemned jungle justice, citing the case of sodomy of three women who were tortured and sodomized for allegedly stealing pepper at Ejigbo market.
