Skales And Record Label, EME Part Ways After Contract Expires

Skales-460x460

According to reports, Skales and Empire Mates Entertainment have reportedly gone their separate ways after his contract expired few weeks ago. The music label reportedly refused to renew Skales’ contract, after the rapper/singer failed to achieve A-list status despite the label’s best efforts.

Although, no official statement has been released from either camp but reports has it that EME decided not to renew Skale’s contract because they feel it may no longer be a profitable venture after allegedly spending a lot on him through the years and haven’t recouped their investment. The report also has it that Banky W confirmed the story via a call from a reporter of NET “Yes, it’s true. No beef here, the agreement not to go further together is mutual.”

All traces of EME have since been deleted from Skales’ social media accounts. Wizkid and Skales were signed in 2010 and Skales who was signed on as a rapper later transformed into a singer. Banky had once told a magazine that his mistake was not letting Skales fully develop or find his niche before signing him.
